Main Event Jasper Troy VS Oba Femi (C) for NXT CHAMPIONSHIP
Opening with WWE LFG (Series of 16 superstars competing for a NXT TV Contract) Winner Jasper Troy Attacking reigning NXT Champion Oba Femi and chokeslamming him through a car windshield before the show was officially underway creating more questions to be asked for tonight’s main event.
Opening Match: Sean Legacy VS Ethan Page (C) For the NXT North American Championship
Immensely strong match Sean Legacy a recent call-up from WWE’s newest development system “WWE EVOLVE (Wednesdays on tubi)” VS “All Ego” Ethan Page a long standing veteran of 18 years.
The Match started well paced with Ethan Page taking control early with side control headlocks keeping the match slow and under control until Legacy broke free and began to run the ropes and use his speed and agility to his advantage which was the reoccurring theme of the match; Legacy using his agility to break Free and Ethan Page using his strength to keep him held down. Near the end of the match they start to trade blows and create distance giving Legacy the advantage and more opportunities to use his high flying ability, until it eventually caused his defeat going for a spring board 630 and getting caught by Ethan with a “Twisted Grin” a renamed version Of Jeff Hardy’s Twist of Fate. Allowing Page to pick up the win via pin fall very consistent and fast paced match I reccomend and is available to watch on the CW Networks YouTube Channel. 3.75 Stars.
Izzy Dame Speaks with “The Culling”
Izzy Dame is shown in a vignette speaking to members of her faction “The Culling” (Shawn Spears & Niko Vance) and reasoning with them why she kicked out Brooks Jensen by attacking him with a chair last week, stating that he was never truely a part of the family and was never committed to the faction. And when Shawn Spears asked her what else she sees she states that she has her eye on something cutting to the arena for the next match
Match 2 The Culling VS Josh Briggs And Yoshiki Inamura
A very basic but not bad tag team match highlighted by a Inamura hot-tag late in the late stages of the match but regardless Vance was able to regain control and then scoring a Pinfall on Briggs 2 Stars
Vignette Staring “Blake Monroe” the newest major signing to the NXT Women’s division formally known as Mariah May in AEW best known for her excellent and historic fued with Toni Storm and being a Former AEW Women’s Champion
Match 3 “Lash Legend” Vs Wren Sinclair
A battle of 2 different styles, Wren starting with classic wrestling shoots and grappling and Lash Legend using her size, power and shocking agility to her advantage with various slams and powerhouse style they fought a short, strong and evenly matched battle up until the end where Lash was able to score a pin over Wren Sinclair 2.75 Stars
Jasper Troy Vignette
Jasper Troy is questioned on his attack on Oba Femi which he states he knows Oba will still defend his title because he’s a warrior and is counting on Oba to be out there in the main event
Match 4 Lainey Reed VS Jacy Jane (C) For The NXT Woman’s Championship
A new rookie who showed up out of no where who last competed months ago on WWE LVL UP (now EVOLVE) out of the crowd last week, Lainey Reed came up to Jayne backstage slapped her and challenged her for her title. Lainey opened the match strong rolling up the champion getting an early 2 count and early the first 2 minutes of the match showing a shocking amount of skill until jacy eventually breaks her momentum and takes back the advantage and controlling the pace of the match coming back and they continued to put on a very impressive and very stiff match with with this being my first time watching Reed I was very pleasantly surprised to see how well her preformance was eventually Jacy Jayne kills Reeds momentum, then hits Reed with a “Rolling Encore” And pins her to retain her title 3.25 Stars
Ava (NXT General Manager) Would go on to announce after the match a tournament where next week there will be 4 singles matches where the winners will move onto a fatal 4 match and the winner of that said match would be the new #1 contender for the NXT Women’s Championship
“The Family” (Tony D’Angelo & Luca Crusifino) VS The High Ryse (Tyson DuPont & Tyriek Igwe Led by Wes Lee)
Leading into this match Tony D believes that Luca can’t be trusted Tony D and Luca struggled to work together through out the match allowing The High Ryse to take a strong lead early and control most of the match the High Ryse boasting a strong powerhouse style dominated the family throughout the match until The Family was able to get things together only temporarily until Stacks the former underboss snuck into the ring introducing a crowbar attempting to attack Tony D but getting thrown out the ring leading to Luca picking up the crowbar standing behind Tony leading to Tony think Luca was going to turn on him too, with the distraction The High Ryse takes the chance to slam Tony D with their Tag Team finish and Tyson DuPont pins him for the win. solid match I wouldn’t recommend but i wouldn’t skip through it if I was rewatching. 2.75 Stars
Jasper Troy VS Oba Femi (C) For the NXT Championship
Oba Came out the gate swinging was very swiftly struck down by Jasper Troy with a knee to the injured ribs (from earliers attack getting choke slammed through the car) and very quickly staying on him using his similar power to strike and even throw the 310 pound champion into the turnbuckle so hard it snapped off the ring post. Coming back from commercial Troy worked the ribs and body the entire match through splashes spine busters on the ring apron and throwing everything he had at him but Oba responded with the same powerful offense even when bandaged and hurt forcing his way through with the match coming close to the end with some amazing near falls and Oba chucking Troy into the barricade like a boxing bag of wet sand and throwing him back into the ring for a “Fall From Grace” Powerbomb and picking up the pin Very fun and quick big man match highlighting 2 new massive 300+ pound and very impressive stars i definitely recommend 3.75 Stars
